I love the beautiful, stylish appearance of the AmazonBasics Leather Camera Case. My new Kodak EasyShare M341 fits perfectly inside it. Both are black and look as though they were made for each other. The case’s interior consists of soft suede that is very protective of the camera, especially its LCD screen. The interior has a rear pocket in which I can place my flash memory card. (Unfortunately, the pocket is too small to hold the plastic, transparent protective case in which my memory card was mailed to me.) The case has a flap which closes via a magnetized button, which may endure longer than a Velcro flap.

The back of the AmazonBasics Leather Camera Case has a Velcro loop for easily placing over one’s belt; unfortunately, the belt must be a thin one because the loop is not very wide. (The Velcro strap comes off easily – too easily.) The case does not come with its own carrying strap. One must insert the camera’s strap through a hole in the carrying case’s flap. I do not like this because the section of strap that connects directly to my camera does not appear very durable; it consists of two very thin cords knotted together at the connection point. I’d rather break the cord on my carrying case than the one on my expensive camera.

My Samsung Knack 3110 cell phone fits perfectly inside my AmazonBasics Leather Camera Case. Therefore, it is a very versatile case for carrying electronic equipment. Though I like the camera case’s appearance, one of my coworkers didn’t; she said it looked too much like a cigarette case and she abhors cigarette smoking. AmazonBasics Leather Camera Case is good for carrying one’s camera to professional and/or elegant events such as weddings, retirement ceremonies, graduations, etc. I will probably use mine as a backup or replacement in case my other camera case (or my cell phone case) is lost, stolen or misplaced. Also, the case has a limited one-year warranty from Amazon and arrives in a frustration-free cardboard box that can be easily opened and repeatedly used for storing the case when not in usage.
